Matt Dingo
Instructional Designer
Matt’s diverse career is unified by the desire to constantly improve his teaching and designing skill set. During his undergraduate studies in Composition and Rhetoric at The Ohio State University, he ran a tutoring program for at-risk youth. After graduating with Honors in Liberal Arts and Distinction in English, Matt joined the Peace Corps, where he taught English in Poland. This is where he discovered his love for performing music.
For over a decade, Matt focused on performing and teaching music and began his career in higher education as the founder of the guitar program at University of Minnesota, Morris. In 2013, he received a master of education from James Madison University and continued to teach online in their Educational Media program.
As an instructional designer, Matt has worked in digital accessibility and consulted with nonprofits. At Ohio University he designed the online version of one of the university’s most popular courses, The History of Rock, and launched the Financial Economics and Public Administration master programs. Most recently before joining Penn State World Campus, Matt designed, developed, tested, and produced leadership development courses for DDI. His courses have been translated into seven languages and are facilitated in corporate environments worldwide. In 2020 Matt followed his passion for higher education, joining Penn State World Campus. Matt happily works remotely from the Pittsburgh area, where he enjoys spending the time he has gained by not commuting with his family, dog, and guitar.
